What's up everyone . I just goT this 318i with a 1.9L does anyone know where I can get cam gears . And if anyone can help me out on things to get to pep this thing up please get backup me

318 usually means 1.8L you sure its a 1.9L?

the first number of a bmw number is the series the 2nd 2 says the liter of the engine displacement.

thats interesting, what's it pushing for HP and torque? is it a manual or automatic?

And what you mainly looking to do with it?
Post some pictures of it so we know what we are working with =D

Hmm... I have the same car. I guess this thread's old but in case someone else comes hunting for information, here's everything I have found in my research.

Easiest options:
- Basic car maintenance

Common options:
- CAI (K&N makes one)
- Exhaust (Remus makes bolt on options, or you can have your own custom fab)
- ECU Chip/Remap (chips are for m42 engine, remap for m44, available from Dinan)
- Suspension (Tons of choices out there)
- LSD

Less common options include:
- Big bore throttle body (Dinan used to make them but discontinued them, can always custom fab one from stock parts)
- Sport cams (From Schrick or you can get someone to grind yours down to the same profile)

Expensive options include:
- Supercharger/turbo (Downing Atlanta made an SC kit but now discontinued, Mosselman makes a simple turbo kit, or you can always go custom fab)
- Look up metric mechanic on google.
- Engine swap for any of BMW's 6 cal engines

P.S. Dj730 is right about the engine being 1.9L. From 1992 to 1995, they used a 1.8L engine in their 318's. From 1996 to 1998, they used a 1.9L engine.
