Update 12/6/10 - EDM fog lamp install

My AP1 rear bumper arrived on Fri. So it was time to start retrofitting the EDM fog lamp to the USDM bumper.

First step was to cut out the plastic where the fog lamp will go. Thanks to Honda, there was an outline alreay etched in the back of the bumper. So I grabbed my dremel and went to town.

There factory brackets had rusted off, so I had to make new ones. A little measuring and a short trip to the hardware store and I was back in business.

Just as the outline was there for the lamp, so where the factory mounting locations, so in went the light, bolted down to all the factory locations

And here is the final product on the bumper... OEM as f*ck!

Sometime, this weekend I'm going to make time to wire everything up and get the bumper on the car. Hopefully I'll have a new trunk coming soon... But that's another surprise ;)

thankx for the love guys!
I'll keep the updates coming.

I just sold the Backyard Special rear trunk spoiler but I'll show you guys soon why I had to
The rear wheels are at the shop, I just haven't had time to go scoop them up. Maybe tomorrow during lunch.
And the bumper should be on ([crosses fingers] if i have time) this sunday.

yeah.
I posted up a WTB thread in the UK boards and just keep scouring all the UK threads.
Took several months, but finally found one

UPDATE - 12/10/10 Rear bumper w/ EDM fog retrofitted

I got out of work early on Friday and decided to wrap up the install on the AP1 rear bumper.
I took my time and redid all the fog lamp wiring with quick release connectors, I heat shrank all the ends and utilized the factory harness for a clean OEM style finish.

Once it was all wired up I tested the light to make sure there were no issues before bolting the bumper into place. I'm very happy with the outcome, it looks very OEM which is what I was looking for.

UPDATE 12/14/10 rear wheels arrived, tires mounted

My 17x10 +38s rears finally arrived :D

I ran over to Flat6 to have my new tires mounted on the new 17x10s and have the old tires taken off the 17x9.5s so that I can mount the new tires on them as well.

I have to say I was very impressed. The tech was very careful with the wheel finish and their machines are state of the art. No-touch mounting with all rubber grabbers and a laser balancer with behind spoke recognition. Sik stuff!

After I got home I gave the tires a treatment of DryShine, it’s a semi permanent, non-greasy tire shine. I have to say, I was VERY impressed with their product.

Needless to say, by the time I was done with everything the sun had already set. So I'll mount them tonight when I get home from work. And if there is still some light I'll take some pics.

I decided to go with 235/40 Advan A032Rs, even though they are rated at 235, the thread width is more like 255. I'm really happy with the way they look. Now I just cant wait to get them on the car!

UPDATE 12/29/10 - Spoon Sports 4-pt Rollbar

It was quite a bittersweet moment last night. I received a call that my good friend Frank (aka jdmknowledge) was selling his S2000. He had purchased my Spoon Sports roll bar when I was parting out my car a while back and wanted to know if I wanted it back since he was selling the car.

Sad to see a fellow S2000 owner move on to another platform, it was joyful to know that my cage was coming back home to daddy

Since it was in my car last, it has acquired some "character". A few nicks and scratches; I'm going to have to give her some TLC and possibly replace all the hardware with new pieces (maybe Ti )

All in all, I'm happy to once again be the owner of the very rare Spoon Sports 4-pt S2000 roll bar.

You can always sell it to me if you don't want to put some TLC into it
