Default Nikon D3100 or Canon Rebel T3i which one to get?

I've been researching for my first Digital SLR camera for a while now, and have narrowed it down to the Nikon D3100 or the Canon Rebel T3i...

My purpose for this camera is to use it in sports (cars), models, wildlife, or wedding in the feature.. I would also like the camera to be fairly straight forward easy to use, and not in need of a 10 min to set it up before every picture. Ideally I would like to spend no more than $1000 on everything, so including memory card, pod, camera bag, and possibly an extra battery. With the Nikon it looks like a pretty good deal with all the extras included, but I'm not too sure about buying a Nikon because of my bad experience with one, and the amazing point and shoots Canon has.

Definitely the D3100 by far the better choice. The flash does not brake as easily.
