There's no denying that the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 was one of the biggest stars of the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. It had all the ingredients of a show-stopping supercar stuffed into a shape that was rivaled only by the models standing next to it.
But seeing the new Lamborghini sitting on a show stand is one thing. Hearing the Aventador LP700-4 ripping across the desert is another experience entirely. We know this because we recently spent a day with the new Lamborghini on a film shoot in the California desert.
The
Aventador LP700-4 wore the same Argos orange color as the showcar, so it looked particularly striking after getting covered in a thick coat of dry lake silt. And when it fired up to head out for its beauty shots, the sound of its 6.5-liter V12 didn't disappoint.
