Default Windshield wipers not working..

I'm posting it for a friend for his 07 volkwagen passat.. He recently changed his wiper blades and add some windshield washer fluids and now his wipers are not working.. Any help what could be the problem?

Most of the time specially with Volkswagen vehicles wipers will not operate when the hood is open or not fully closed!

So make sure the hood is closed all the way..

To service the wipers, they can be placed in the service position. Moving the wipers switch to the tip wiping, (down) within 10 seconds of switching off the ignition, causes the wipers to move to the end position of wiper travel known as the service/winter position.

mine seized on the passenger side so i just took it out and mcguyvered it to work on one wiper on the driver side lol
