Default What is the purpose of CV Boot?


Just want to know what exactly is the main purpose of the CV boot in the axle? will it be bad if I have a torn boot? do i have to replace this right away?

if you have torn boot then I would high recommend to replace it. CV boot purpose is to retrain the grease through the axle and make sure no dirts can go in..

So yes, it is bad if you have a torn boot.. hope this help!
