'97 BMW 318iThis is a discussion on '97 BMW 318i within the Members Ride forums, part of the TunedTech's Features category; It's a 1997 BMW 318i. I've had it for about a year and a half now and it's the best car I've ever driven. I've modded it quite a bit ... |

| tTECH member | Haha. Thanks! The 318i is the poor man's bimmer though. Still, I like it.

| tTECH member | I'm going to post randomly in the hopes that we might get more action on this board.

| tTECH member | Thanks! I miss driving it. Nexen tires are useless in the snow... (but they're totally awesome on dry roads or in the rain) As soon as the snow disappears, I'm planning on getting an ecu remap and painting the annoying grey parts on the body. If you ever see me on the road, be sure to come say hello to me!

| tTECH member | Update! I just purchased a big bore throttle body. Then I'm gonna pick up some software and we'll see what this baby can do. Of course, nothing drastic has been done to the engine so I'm not expecting something crazy, but hopefully there will be a noticeable difference. After that, hopefully the weather will have calmed down and warmed up enough for me to start working on the bumpers. Boo for lack of garage...

| tTECH member | EXCITING! She's back on the road! Unfortunately, she's all dirty from all the mud that got splattered on after trying to move my dad's Mercedes out of the way and get her out of the icy patches in my drive way. Whatever, I just gotta take her for a bath tomorrow and she'll be ready to rock! I'm so excited! Now I'm just waiting on the big bore throttle body to come in the mail. And then once school's over, I can start to save up for an ECU re-program and I'll have the engine side of performance upgrades to where I want them. I'm also thinking of getting a black vinyl roof done while I get my windows tinted. And then work on my bumpers too while I'm at it. After that I can start worrying about suspension, but I'm thinking suspension might have to come next summer.
