i guess if i have to wait 5 years to see a 91 skylark then that's what it has to be.

when are you getting the car painted?

asap
there is some surface rust already easily removed but I do not want this go any farther
If It takes much longer I may end up going the ghetto route and getting a little spray paint
but I would rather get it done the right way then spend more money removing it and repainting it

as of right now I need a valve cover gasket
new belts ( as of today they are squealing like a ... ... umm maybe that's not appropriated for this forum but you get the idea)
and I'm getting crap gas mileage ( probably a sensor issue my limited guess is an iac valve)
and i need to get an ignition lock cylinder installed
oil change +oil filter + spark plugs installed
and paint
i have all the parts just waiting on my church friend to be available
so far i spend around $100 I really do not think that's bad at all ( 200 total if you want to include tags and title)

it says code 12 for skylarks are a battery connection problem? make sure your battery cables are securely on the battery so that the prongs aren't wiggling around

if that's the code then Its telling me some thing I already know :) thank god
as mentioned I have a bad ignition lock cylinder ( car runs fine but I need to disconnect the battery to turn it off... or on.... I probably am wearing out the screws doing this.)
could that cause bad mpg? around 10 to the usual 20?
