Default 1998 BMW 328i (w/ pictures now)

I bought a 1998 BMW 328i today for 2300 dollars. Of course it was that cheap for a reason. Overall the car is sound mechanically however it does need a couple things.

- tune-up
- brakes
- tires
- ball-joints
- drivers seat (the fabric is little torn)
- and a couple other things i may not have figured out yet (i'll keep you posted)

it also needs a bit of body work, but that can come later.
the roof got the worst damage. the man who sold it was very honest, told us everything that was wrong with it and explained also that he lent it to his sister and she drove it in an underground parking garage and the door closed on the car and she kept driving so the roof is bent and scraped. i can fix it later, right now i am gonna focus on the mechanics.

thanx

today we did so much work on it. brakes all around, rear shock absorbers (thing is fuckin' stiff as a rock, way different from the buick i had), air filter, fuel filter, engine coil (i think there was a compression problem so we had to replace a coil)

after a good polish it's gonna look awesome aside from the roof and a couple other parts. tomorrow we're buying tires :D

thanks man. it was very lucky even though it needs as much work as it does. kelley's blue book says these cars are worth approx. 10,000 so :)

I will try to remember to keep posting new pictures but I am not used to it so... we'll see

the previous owner also tried to polish the car but it didn't work out so well for him. now i have to redo it all. most of the body is in good shape, it just looks bad cause of the brutal polish job he did.
also notice the roof where his sister drove under the garage door... *facepalm*

I know right! That's an awesome price so I just had to buy it! We've spent only 700 dollars of my budget on repairs so far and we've already got 80% of it repaired. I still have to get a full set of tires but i've decided to get them next year. i bought only one tire today just to replace the one rear right because the previous owner drove on it while it was flat. *facepalm*

Removing the decal was the first thing I planned on doing but I got caught up in making it road worthy. It still has to pass the out-of-province inspection and it's pointless to fix the body if I can't make it registrable so we'll see what happens tomorrow. My uncles gonna take it while i'm at school and get it inspected, his buddy knows an inspector so, yah.

the exhaust butter fly is my favourite part of the car haha

does anyone know a place that can re-upholster my drivers seat for cheap? there's a hole in the lower back region.
