Default Does a JDM B16a 2nd gen out perform a USDM B16a2?

USDM B16a2 160hp, 0-60, 7.2sec coupe

JDM B16a 170hp, 0-60, ??????

I want one of these in my COUPE. I'm looking to do 0-60 within the 6 second range!!

If you want some good 60' times make sure you have some good tires. A JDM B16 with i/h/e and some touring tires will easily get higher numbers than a stock B16A2 with some Ziex 512s for example.

The JDM B16A in the EG6 has a more agressive cam profile then the first gen JDM B16A, let alone the VTEC is far more agressive in JDM motors then USDm motors. You have to rememeber people do real racing with their Honda in Japan. No one is running from light to light in Japan with those cars. They are racing either in the mountains on very windy roads or tearing up a Circuit course. The JDM B16a also has an LSD. If you are going to put a engine in a coupe, I would go with a B18C just for the extra torque personally.

With such close numbers between the motors, wouldn't it be a matter of drivers?

they are very close numbers wise, horse power, comp ratio, and cam profiles, although i bet if you get someone who can drive, the usdm motor would keep up. but if you had two drivers of the same caliber, the jdm would win.
