If your idle fluctuates from normal idle to around 2-3,000 rpm.. then this DIY is for you

. I know most of you here been through IACV problems numerous times, so here is a little step by step on how to clean it.
1. Locate your IACV, it's mounted on the intake manifold, on the side closest to the firewall. Generally has 2 coolant hoses and one electrical plug going to it.
2. It's easier to un-plug the electrical conectorfirst, it's located toward the
- Next Take off the 2 rubber cooler linesgoing to the IACV, you might want to place some rags under these 2 lines to catch the coolant that will come out. Don't cut the hoses, they are exactly long enough, and will be too short if cut. Next Remove the 2 12mm bolts holding the IACV to the intake manifold.
3. Now that you have the IACV removed, take some brake cleaner, or equivalent and spray inside the two holes until dirty cleaner stops coming out. After your satisfied with the cleaning, let it dry (hair drier, or shaking it speeds up the process), and re-install it the same way you took it off.
NOTE: Be VERY CAREFUL when re-installing the 12 mm bolts they strip easily!
4. After the IACV is re-installed, start up your car, notice that it idles normal, and doesn't fluctuate from normal to 3,000k? problem solved. Good Luck
