Default DIY - Trunk Lid Latch Replacement


Dont mind my crappy pictures.. i was using my Iphone


Note: Put on gloves to protect your hands (i dont want to get my hand dirty)

1) Disconnect the cylinder rod from the lock cylinder.





2) Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable and remove the bolts securing the trunk lid latch. take care not to kink the opener cable.
3) Disconnect the trunk lid latch switch connector.







4) Pull the trunk lid latch out with the cylinder rod, and disconnect the cylinder rod from the trunk lid latch.
5) At last... install the latch in the reverse order of removal
