Default Jetta upgrade, what first?

I started looking for turbo kits, but decided i should start strengthining the engine itself (new pistons?) before i strap a turbo on it. Im not sure what i should have done first, the head was rebuilt by a company called block welders, so im thinking about boring it to 2.5-2.8l. Heard somewhere they could be up to 3.0l, but if i bore it, wont i need a new custom head? Blah

Anyways, i really need a place to find aftermarket parts for my jetta. Ive been searching and dont really know of any sites that are legit. Besides, there isnt many tuned jettas out there as they arent the fastest things in the world, but i want to do something to it. Stock is booooring!

im not rich, but im more worried about the hp and torque numbers than the price.

v6>4 anytime. I seen someone with a nice 600+hp vt6 setup but the could never hook up.

Really got my eyes set on a vr6, not many people have them, and i especially love swaps
