Default Fake turbo?

Last night i was returning a few blue box movies (block buster thing, like red box) and this chick (im guessing a lesbo) was driving a neon... She kept trying to race me, revving her engine and acting a fool while there was traffic. It had a nice sound to it, like they removed the cat and got a custom exhaust. A few times she revved it and it sounded NA, but out of no where, no rev or anything i hear this loud BOV sound come from her car, no spooling or anything! She had turbo gauges but this BOV sound was so... perfect? Like something out of a video game. I was confused for the rest of the night. No turbo spooling, and no charger whining... Do people sell fake BOV sound makers or something? Her neon was clearly rice, i just dont understand why waste money on junk like that...

Btw, anyone know where i can get a test pipe/straight pipe for my jetta? =]

They probably customized it to put a BOV, i know it can be done without a turbo on the engine! sometimes they put it on the intake piping or something like that!

but i could be wrong as i never do this stupid idea just to make cool sound

I DO LOVE LAUD BOV though! kinda miss my old s13
