Default Bored Out Throttle Body

Back in the day, Dinan (a BMW tuning company) sold a hi-flo throttle body in addition to their ecu remaps for BMW 318i's. But they dropped the throttle body off their product line. According to Dinan reps, they simply took stock BMW tb's and bored them out a little bit.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows a good place in Calgary that might be able to bore it out for me (and at a relatively good price). I know most the guys here are into Japanese cars, but I thought I'd throw this out there just in case someone's got hook ups.

Reppin' the Deutschland yo!

I dont know if any place in Calgary since I'm not from there, but check out www.maxbore.com he has tons and tons of vouches on www.honda-tech.com and for the price you really cant beat it. You have to ship your Throttle Body to him though.

I emailed the guys at maxbore, hopefully they can do it. The only concern I have is shipping. It'd be easier if someone could do it locally so I wouldn't have to worry about shipping and what not.

Side question for anyone who's dealt with cross-border shipping... If it's my own item that's been sent out for alterations like this, do I still need to pay any taxes on it when it comes back to me? I really don't want to get taxed for an item I own if I don't have to.

No love for my throttle body in Calgary? That's too bad...
And maxbore hasn't replied. I dunno if they're swamped with work or whatever... Anyone have experience with them?

why dont you just bore it out yourself use a wiz wheel and a carbide bit and just move very slowly and carefully and you should be fine but buy a gasket and gasket match it as well do the same to the intake mani and you should be pretty good
