Default What's up?

Hey guys, just signed up a couple minutes ago. I'm a 20 year old student and should be graduating this time next year. I've always loved tuners, but never had one until now. In the last 4 years since I've gotten my license I've driven 2 Mercedes, a Lexus IS350, and now my current toy, a 2011 Subaru STI sedan. The STI is the first car I've ever modded and I'd like to think I've become somewhat knowledgeable about them in the last few months.

Here's some pics of my baby

I just got her at the end of January so I'm still in the process of modding her. So far, she has an XPT Stage 1+ tune with an AEM cold air intake and Nameless Performance exhaust. She also has a Kartboy short shifter and the supporting bushings. I'm currently waiting on my GTWORX/Bilstein shock system that I preordered and will also be getting my car a custom tune from Maxwell Performance in Seattle. My goal is to make around 300awhp on their dynojet.

After I graduate, I'm planning to find a good s14 shell and drop in a RB26DETT. Hopefully that will restrain me from destroying the reliability of my STI

Looking forward to participating in the forums!

Chris

Wow you must be the richest 20 year old ever to own 4 cars since you were 16 LOL

this subie is obviously looking amazing though, i love what you've done with it!

CAREFUL THOUGH! once you start the mod bug its hard to turn it away, you're now going to invest more into that car than a down payment for a house LOL

Welcome to tTECH buddy =D looking forward to seeing more of you ;) (no homo)

I think I meant rb25det . I've heard of rb26dett swaps before, but I know they are much more labour intensive and I think I can get the power I want from an rb25det.

Thanks for all the compliments on my car! Hopefully I'll update soon as I still have a list of mods to work through.

LOL.. I though so Rb26det is an all wheel drive and youll have to do tons of modification.

There's actualy a member here who swapped in a rb25 into his s14 and converted the front end to s15... pretty sick ill tell you!!!

i look forward to your build mang!
