no the insurance is really just based off the title and so you have to make usre the title works, but there are sometimes that an insurance agent will reject it if its listed as a salvage title then its a higher premium. but for those of you that have to have an inspection every year on the safety of your car it might be a better idea to check with the dmv to make sure it would pass inspection, before spending all that money. I know im looking at about $5000.00 for my clip to be sent to my house. ( the clip costs $1500.00 but thats only to a port city after that its the cost of transporting it to inland states.) Here in Idaho it is fairly easy and they only require you to carry an amended title and it has to be safety checked for reliability. I think since most of the cops I know are members of the SCCA that they can do the safety inspection. ( the SCCA has a stricter form of inspection than NASCAR, and its really hard to get a modified car to pass)
