Default Audi Driver On Winning Le Mans

Audi released a video featuring British star driver Allan McNish, who explains exactly what it takes to win at Le Mans. The single most striking element of this clip is just how much physical preparation is required to be competitive in a 24 hour race like Le Mans.

McNish claims that to win the prestigious 24H race, you have to do the same amount of physical work as for an entire season of Formula 1. McNish says that driving an Audi Le Mans race car it's like having 4 kg in each hand. Apart from this, the driver has to withstand up to 3 Gs of lateral force during cornering. This means he has to hold his breath to stop his lungs from crashing.
