The tire iron is a bid to much. Workshop guys use their hands but if your hands are to soft you may use a rubber hammer to hid it on the rim

Just remove the complete harness and salvage it to original specs will be much cheaper, and a good exercise to understand the working of the electrical system for the future

step 1) find the box to the alarm
step 2) rip out box and all wires connected to it
step 3) reconect wires back to stock
step 4) disable headache

I already bought the harness for $50 out of another gl, and my jetta is already in the garage with all the interior stripped out haha.

Gona borrow a cherry picker and take the engine out and get it cleaned then hook up the new harness.

Not that simple, there is a way to connect 2 wires to disable the alarm, but you will have fuel pump problems because the alarm disables the fuel pump as well.

Ive tried this already, got the car running for a moment and it would turn off.

This is the best way to ensure it is all fixed. Its hard work, but it will get done.
