they will not harm anything and it is not bad for you car at all.. the only time I've had an HID burnt out on me was the ballast and that was because it was places right beneath the crack of the hood which water can come in and short circuit the ballast. After replacing and relocating the ballast everything works out great.

I have had mine for 2 years now with no problems. Never heard of this "Myth". lol Half my town has them installed in every kind of vehicle and haven't heard of any problems yet.

i recommend everyone to get hid's if you dont already have them. the worse ive seen was someone's headlight blow up, but that was a car's internal problem. some people push it to much.

I just ordered new angel/halo projector lights and an 20,000k HID kit for my jetta. Cost me a lttle over 200, but ill post results when they come in. I think 20,000 is illegal, but in florida no one cares

20k is definitely illegal lol. i'm going to get halo's also for my car (not head lights, just the rings).

i think anything over 10k(maybe even 10k itself) is illegal.

at least here in massachusetts it is, and what i recently found out also from my cousin is that yellow fogs are also illegal ONLY if aftermarket, which is total B.S.

Yeah, 20,000k bulbs, they have 30,000k but ive heard of alot of people getting pulled over cause they look like spot lights on the front of your car.

I figured i just spent $120 on a new battery for my jetta, might as well have something that will use some of that electricity (i dont have a head unit/radio or subs or anything else)

Thats pretty stupid haha, only if after market?

Florida is very, very lenient when it comes to car mods, atleast in jax area it is, miami is pretty crazy itself.

Neighbor has a prelude with an exhaust that should be illegal, he lives 3 houses down (about 3-5000 sq. ft houses with 20-30 ft spacing in between) and i get woken up every time he leaves at night.

 >.< i dont think you know your colors. 30k is purple, spot lights arent purple..

people get pulled over because their purple lol.. they also have green H.I.D's but im not sure on the color code on that, my friend used to have them

20k is a deep dark blue with a purple tint to it.

i think 5k is the whitest and the brightest, but i shall always prefer the 6k, bright white with a blue tint. <3
